In Russia, 820 people died from coronavirus per day, according to the operational headquarters. This is a new high for the entire pandemic.

The last record for daily mortality from COVID-19 was set on August 14. Then they counted 819 cases.

In total, 19 630 new cases of coronavirus were recorded over the past day, 19 661 people recovered. Most cases of infection were detected in Moscow (1712), St. Petersburg (1301), Moscow region (726), Sverdlovsk region (531) and Rostov region (479).

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 6.8 million coronavirus infections have been detected in Russia, more than 179 thousand people have died.
