“They want to let in two fake Vishnevskys, but one real one is not.” Boris Vishnevsky on his withdrawal from the elections to the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg

This decision is absolutely illegal – I am accused of violating those points of the law that I did not violate. This is literally: in my documents there are no violations of those norms of the law that are listed in the decision to refuse.

I am presented with two claims, they tell me: such and such a document was drawn up in violation of such and such a clause of the law. I am reading this paragraph of the law, I ask you to explain to me where I violated it, but they cannot give me any convincing answer. Instead, they say: we believe that there must be something else here. But this is not written in the law, and what you think is your point of view.

There is another great claim. There is a decision of our political committee on the preliminary approval of the list for nomination, in the appendix to it there is a list of candidates nominated in single-mandate constituencies, which is called that, and then the short list itself: constituency number one – such and such, constituency number two – Vishnevsky, etc. But they tell me: we do not understand, but whether you are nominated in a single-mandate constituency number two, you have just written there “constituency number two – Vishnevsky.” I tell them that it is written in the title! But they say they do not understand and do not think that I am nominated. It’s funny, but the claims are of exactly this level.

Naturally, now we will appeal this. I think that first in the city election commission, and then in court. Maybe we’ll go to court right away, but we’ll definitely appeal. It is clear that this decision is absolutely illegal and political.

At the same time, the commission quite calmly and without any questions registers two fake Vishnevskys, who simply drew signatures. But there are no complaints about these signatures, although they contain a huge number of errors, according to the working group that checked it. It turns out that they want to let the fake Vishnevskys go to the polls, but not the real one. There was such a special situation, I have not yet met such, but, apparently, they no longer have any other methods of dealing with me, except to try to shoot me. I think the command was given from the governor.

But it should be noted that I am also nominated at the head of the party list. It has already been registered by the city electoral commission – and it should be noted that it was registered on the basis of exactly the same documents that I submitted for registration in the constituency. That is, they did not raise any questions from the city electoral committee. I remain at the head of the party list, and if the party overcomes the 5% barrier, then I will remain a deputy.
