More than 7 million Russians were on the list of restricted to travel abroad due to debt on loans

About 7.2 million people were banned from traveling due to debts to banks, informs RIA Novosti with reference to the President of the National Association of Professional Collection Agencies (NAPKA) Elman Mehdiyev.

The restrictions affected Russians who have overdue debts over 90 days in the amount of more than 30 thousand rubles, subject to a court decision. At the same time, Mehdiyev noted that, according to his data, every sixth Russian has such a debt.

Mehdiyev also emphasized that 10-14 days before leaving the country, each citizen needs to check whether enforcement proceedings have been opened on them. If there is a debt and production is open, then after repayment of the debt, you need to notify the body that imposed the ban, and wait for the data to be entered into the database for about ten working days.

At the same time, according to Mehdiyev, in a pandemic, the ban on traveling abroad is ineffective on debtors. According to him, in the first six months of 2021, only 300 thousand court decisions were actually executed out of 5.9 million.

In early December last year, the FSSP reported 4.1 million debtors who were banned from leaving the country.

In Russia, the ban on traveling abroad is in effect with a debt of more than 30 thousand rubles. For alimony and some other obligations, the limit is 10 thousand.
