Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree according to which the regions are allocated another 85 billion rubles to support the health care system. About it reported press service of the government.
Officials expect that this money will help to establish timely admission of patients with various diseases in the context of the increased burden on medical facilities associated with the pandemic.
In June, 25 billion rubles were already allocated for these purposes.
According to Mishustin, the new deductions “will increase the safety margin of healthcare systems in the regions and will allow not only to successfully fight the spread of coronavirus, but also not to reduce the cost of routine medical care.” He also instructed the head of the Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, to accelerate the delivery of these funds to the regions and personally control the extent to which medical care is provided in the regions.
