In Germany, for the first time in history, an emergency was declared due to a hacker attack in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district in the east of the country. Hackers attacked the district’s computer system, which paralyzed the work of the district administration.
The district, with a population of about 157,000, is not yet able to pay any social benefits. Security authorities are investigating transfers Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.
“We are almost completely paralyzed, and so it will be next week,” explained an administration official.
