Russia is introducing quarantine for those entering from countries with a high risk of infection with the new omicron coronavirus strain. About it reported Chief Sanitary Doctor of Russia Anna Popova.
According to her, quarantine will be required for all travelers from countries where a new variant of the virus has been detected. Its term will be 14 days.
The head of Rospotrebnadzor noted that with most of the countries where the omicron strain was found, regular air traffic has not yet been resumed, and “citizens were there for personal needs.”
In addition, the validity period of the PCR test will be limited in Russia: instead of 72 hours, it will be valid for 48 hours. A negative PCR test for coronavirus is one of the reasons for visiting public places and events in regions where appropriate restrictions have been introduced.
