The Czech police have detained the chairman of the Football Federation of Belarus Vladimir Bazanov. About it informs Czech information portal Denik N.
According to the newspaper, Bazanov was detained with his wife in the Moravian-Silesian region in the north-east of the republic. The reason for the arrest was that they did not have permission to enter the Czech Republic. The arrest was carried out by officers of the Aliens Police Department.
According to the portal, Bazanov and his wife came to the Czech Republic to meet the local women’s team with football players from Belarus.
The Embassy of Belarus in the Czech Republic has so far refrained from commenting on this information.
