Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin instructed construction contractors for the Moscow renovation program to reduce the number of workers from other countries. How informs “Interfax”, he told the general director of the contractor “Krost” Alexei Dobashin about this, examining the house under construction on Baumanskaya street.
“People (are needed) of a different quality, with a different salary, fewer migrants, of whom you have quite a lot today. Attract more Russians from nearby regions, raise wages, create working conditions. Build up labor productivity, mechanization and industrialization of construction. I know you need a site, we will select a site for you, let’s build factories, ”the mayor said.
To this, Dobashin replied that over the past year, the number of migrant builders at the company’s facilities has decreased by 15% “and the process is getting better.”
He also added that builders with good qualifications at construction sites receive about 120-150 thousand rubles.
“This is a salary for Muscovites, not for migrants,” Sobyanin said.
