The register of “foreign agents” was replenished by two media outlets. Ministry of Justice made to the list of legal entities “RS-Balt” and “Moscow Digital Media”, which own the publications “Rosbalt” and Republic.
Earlier, the Ministry of Justice included in the list of “foreign agents” the NGOs for the protection of human rights and informing the population “Yakutia – Our Opinion”, the Bellingcat investigation project and nine media workers. Among them were the journalist of the Dozhd TV channel, Daniil Sotnikov, and the correspondent of the BBC Russian Service, Andrei Zakharov.
Last week, the list was joined by Tatyana Voltskaya (Radio Liberty), Ekaterina Klepikovskaya (Sever.Realii), Roman Pearl (collaborated with the Nastoye Vremya TV channel), Evgeny Simonov (international coordinator of the Rivers Without Borders coalition), Elena Solovyova (Sever.Realii), Elizaveta Surnacheva (worked in the Proekt publication). Galina Arapova, included in the list, is the director of the Media Rights Protection Center.
Also, the register of media “foreign agents” has already included many publications in which the listed journalists and human rights activist Arapova worked: “Rain”, “Present Time”, “Radio Liberty”, “Sever.Realii”. And the “Project” was recognized as an undesirable organization.
In total, at the moment, the register of foreign media agents includes 88 individuals and legal entities.
