US strike in Afghanistan kills two IS militants

As a result of a strike in Afghanistan, the United States killed two militants of the Islamic State in Khorasan terrorist group. About it informs CNN citing Pentagon statement.

Another ISIS member was wounded, according to the US military. There were no casualties among civilians during the special operation, the Pentagon stressed.

“Without specifying any plans for the future, I will say that we will continue to defend ourselves and use opportunities for counter-terrorism operations as needed,” said Deputy Director of the Joint Headquarters for Regional Operations Hank Taylor.
