Immediately two American corporations, Walmart and Disney, announced mandatory vaccinations for thousands of their employees in the United States amid changes in federal health rules and an increase in the number of cases in the country in recent weeks. The Wall Street Journal.
Disney said its vaccine requirement applies to employees and non-union workers. Everyone who wants to start working in the company will also have to be vaccinated. For those who have not yet been vaccinated, the company gave 60 days to fulfill the new requirement.
And Walmart, the largest private employer in the United States, said that all office workers and regional managers should be vaccinated against COVID-19. They are obliged to do this by October 4.
The first to announce the mandatory vaccination was the Netflix streaming service, which introduced it for all actors and staff on the set of their projects.
