The Investigative Committee for Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra has launched a pre-investigation check in connection with the attack on Novaya Gazeta correspondents Izolda Drobina and Arden Arkman while working at the Surgut Clinical Traumatology Hospital. The day before it became known that Andrey Matveev, deputy chief physician of the hospital, attacked correspondents after they asked him for a comment about the suicide of two nurses of the department. According to journalists, at first Matveev silently passed by, and after a while he returned and attacked Arden Arkman. He knocked Arkman to the ground and tried to smash the camera. After that, he hit Drobina in the cheekbone.
“I tried to pull back his right hand, which he used to beat Arden. As a result, he left Arden lying on the ground and “gave” his attention to me, ”said Drobina.
At the end of 2021, two nurses from the anesthesiology and intensive care unit of this hospital at once – 49-year-old Iraida Petrova and 41-year-old Ayazhan Tashmagambetova – done away with with myself . They both complained about being bullied by management.

On November 19, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on bringing nurse Tashmagambetova to suicide. According to Ayazhan’s husband, she “complained for a long time that she was harassed and humiliated at work.”
