Ukrainian oligarch and godfather of Vladimir Putin Viktor Medvedchuk in an interview with the TV channel “First Nezalezhny” toldthat his daughter, Putin’s goddaughter, Daria, was deprived of a study visa to study in Switzerland.
According to Medvedchuk, in September 2021, his daughter was supposed to go to study at the University of Geneva, but “literally two days before that, she was announced that her visa had been canceled.”
“The Western world has manifested itself here as well,” Medvedchuk said. He added that he opposed the “external control of the United States and the West.”
As a reminder, on February 19, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine introduced personal economic sanctions against Viktor Medvedchuk and his wife Oksana Marchenko. The reason was the criminal case on the financing of terrorism, which was opened by the SBU.
Earlier in Ukraine, due to the sanctions imposed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the TV channels 112, ZiK and NewsOne, associated with Medvedchuk, stopped broadcasting. This is not the first, but the most noticeable operation of the authorities to cleanse the information field of the state from Russian influence.
