According to the BBC, Prince Andrew’s lawyers argue that the terms of the promulgated agreement between Epstein and Giuffre do not allow her to sue the Prince, since more than 10 years ago she agreed to end all legal claims against any person associated with Epstein that can named “potential accused.”

One of Prince Andrew’s lawyers said that Giuffre referred to “royalty” in a lawsuit she filed in 2009 against Epstein. According to the lawyer, this means that the terms of the deal apply to his client.

The lawsuit against Epstein said that Giuffre was “lured into a world of sexual assault” at his Florida home when she was a teenager.
