An expensive French cheese, sausage and ham was found in a store in Yekaterinburg. About 300 kg of illegally imported products were seized and destroyed. FSB officers took part in the operation. This was reported by the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor department in the Sverdlovsk region.
The outlet was found by employees of the Sverdlovsk departments of the FSB, Rosselkhoznadzor, the Ural operational and Yekaterinburg customs, informs Znak.com. According to the newspaper, 110 kg of sausage and jamon, as well as 175.06 kg of cheese from the EU countries were destroyed, since the products were unsafe and imported despite the ban on imports from Italy, France, Spain and Poland – it was in these countries that the seized cheeses and meat products.
“In addition, the inspectors identified products of unknown origin, without accompanying veterinary documents certifying its safety in veterinary and sanitary terms, without veterinary and sanitary expertise. Such products have not been subject to veterinary control, which means they are unsafe, ”the Rosselkhoznadzor press service said.
