The new CEO of VK will be Vladimir Kiriyenko, first vice president of Rostelecom and the son of Sergei Kiriyenko. About it writes RBC with reference to a source close to VK. As head of VK, he will replace Boris Dobrodeev, who has headed the holding since 2016.

Rostelecom declined to comment. The fact that the new head of VK “with a 95% probability” will be Vladimir Kiriyenko is also reported by two sources of The Bell.

The son of the first deputy head of the presidential administration, Vladimir Kiriyenko, became vice president of Rostelecom in September 2016.

As a reminder, it became known yesterday that Alisher Usmanov’s holding USM has completely withdrawn from the capital of VK Group. The company announced the sale of 57% of VK’s votes to Gazprom’s subsidiary, the Sogaz group.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed. Shares of VK (former Mail.ru Group) right there have grown by 3.4%, up to 1,308 rubles.

VK General Director Boris Dobrodeev goes away from his post after the sale to Sogaz. He announced that he will work with digital assets, including AliExpress Russia, and also plans to launch a global venture fund.
