The EU Council decided to provide Ukraine with 31 million euros to strengthen its defense capabilities. About it reported Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba.
The funds were allocated within the framework of the newly created European Fund for Peace. The support package will include the provision of logistical assistance “to develop and strengthen the potential of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” in four areas: medicine, engineering capabilities and demining, mobility and logistics, and cyber security.
“We highly appreciate this step, which once again testified to the strategic nature of Ukraine-EU relations,” Kuleba said.
According to Kuleba, Kiev “worked persistently and systematically to achieve this result.”
