Russian court sentenced to 6 years and 6 months in prison of an employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Sergei Shvidenko. The FSB claims that he “supervised a sabotage group sent to Crimea.”

“Shvidenko from the territory of Ukraine coordinated the preparation and supervised the sabotage group directed to the territory of Russia. So, in 2016, in Crimea, members of a sabotage and reconnaissance group were detained, which consisted of four staff members of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, who, on the instructions of their leadership, planned to blow up the tower of the radio and television transmission center of Crimea, a mobile gas turbine power plant, a warehouse for fuel and lubricants and a mast of a radio center Of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy “, – reported in the Public Relations Center of the FSB of Russia.

Shvidenko was arrested and taken into custody in July.

“During the investigative actions, S. Shvidenko gave detailed confessions about the organization of sabotage on the territory of Russia and said that the operation was led by his immediate superior – Colonel Nikolay Bogdanovich Spodar, who headed the South Operations Department of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine,” the DSP reported.
