Russia is evacuating more than 380 people from Afghanistan with three planes. About it reported in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
In addition to the Russians, citizens of Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Ukraine and Afghanistan will be taken out of the country. The work was organized by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu on behalf of President Vladimir Putin.
They added that an aviation group of 3 Il-76 military transport aircraft, which had already arrived in Kabul, was created for the export of citizens. Each Russian plane carries 36 tons of humanitarian aid for the Afghan population.
“To provide the necessary medical assistance and support to the evacuated citizens of Russia and other countries, there are medical and nursing teams of military doctors on each plane with the necessary medical equipment and medicines,” the military said.
Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian diplomatic mission in Afghanistan, Yevgeny Yegorov, said that several hundred Afghans with Russian passports were planned to be taken out of Afghanistan.
