In Moscow, over the past 24 hours, more than 4 thousand cases of coronavirus were officially detected, which is almost 37% more than the indicator noted the day before. This was announced by the operational headquarters.
Over the past 24 hours, 4,062 patients with coronavirus have been identified in the capital. On the eve, 2966 infected were reported. Thus, the incidence of COVID-19 in Moscow increased by 1,096 cases.
During the day, 94 people died from coronavirus in Moscow. The total number of deaths reached 33,067. The total number of cases of coronavirus recorded in Moscow was 1,908,585.
The incidence of COVID-19 in Moscow began to rise again from the second decade of September. On October 14, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, announced the complexity of the autumn wave of the pandemic. Five days later, a number of restrictions were introduced in the city. Among them – home mode for elderly Muscovites, transferring a third of the staff of the capital’s companies to a remote format and bringing the share of vaccinated employees of enterprises in “contact” spheres to 80%.
On October 21, the Moscow authorities announced the introduction of a non-working day regime from October 28 to November 7. On November 3, Sobyanin noted that the situation with COVID-19 is stabilizing, non-working days will not be extended.
