Igor Kochetkov, one of the founders of the Russian LGBT Network, was added to the register of foreign media agents

Ministry of Justice included in the register of media outlets – “foreign agents” of Igor Kochetkov, one of the founders of the “Russian LGBT Network”. On November 8, the LGBT Network itself was recognized as an “unregistered foreign agent organization”.

Igor Kochetkov is a human rights activist, publicist, LGBT activist. The Russian LGBT Network provides legal and psychological assistance to people and is not involved in politics. On this basis, the organization decided to appeal against the decision of the Ministry of Justice to be included in the register of “foreign agents”.

The Russian LGBT Network has been operating since 2006, helping to combat all types of discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. For many years, Network employees have been evacuating gays and lesbians from Chechnya, where they threatens deadly danger.
