Generous Russians were detained on October 8 in Antalya during an investigation by the Istanbul prosecutor’s office. They were imprisoned in Istanbul’s Maltepe prison pending trial on charges of conspiracy against Chechen dissidents in Turkey, “political and military espionage” and preparation for “hostilities,” the state-owned Turkish broadcaster TRT News reported on October 21.
