Postcoid syndrome with a delta strain can be expressed in a change in voice – Rospotrebnadzor

Postcoid syndrome in the delta strain is often expressed in increased fatigue, voice changes and decreased cognitive functions. How informs TASS, this was stated by Tatyana Ruzhentsova, deputy director for clinical work of the Moscow Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology named after G. N. Gabrichevsky Rospotrebnadzor.

“Currently, we more often note more pronounced fatigue, prolonged inflammatory changes in the nasopharynx, voice changes, memory impairments, a decrease in so-called cognitive functions (quick wit, ability to participate in work processes, etc.), hearing impairment, gastrointestinal disorders, more pronounced lesions of the lungs and heart, increased susceptibility to other infections, ”said Ruzhentsova.

She added that postcoid syndrome can develop even if a person has been ill in a mild form.

“There are no exact figures yet, but in general, as a rule, the more severe the disease progresses, the more prolonged and more pronounced the symptoms of postcoid syndrome,” noted Ruzhentsova.
