The Kolomna City Court sentenced local activist Vyacheslav Yegorov, who opposed the construction of a landfill, to a year and three months in a general regime colony, having found him guilty under the “Dada” article on repeated violations of the rules for holding rallies (Article 212.1 of the Criminal Code). About it informs OVD-Info with reference to attorney Mikhail Biryukov.

“I won’t say much for the court. It doesn’t make sense in my opinion. You already know everything. Both the prosecutor and the judge – you know for sure that I am not guilty. This is all a farce and a farce. Everyone knows and understands everything, but they continue to pretend that it should be so, that it should be so, although, no doubt, this case would not have had a chance to reach the court in the conditions of compliance with the laws, ”the activist said during his last speech.

According to OVD-Info, the prosecutor asked to appoint Yegorov three years in prison. In court, the activist’s interests were represented by lawyers Maria Eismont and Mikhail Biryukov.

Vyacheslav Egorov spent about six months under house arrest. Later, the measure of restraint was replaced with a ban on certain actions, and then with a recognizance not to leave.

A criminal case against the Kolomna activist was initiated on the basis of four administrative cases under the article on violation of the “rally” legislation (Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code), OVD-Info specifies. For three of them, Yegorov was found guilty, the materials of the fourth – about the organization of the action due to articles on Yandex.Dzene – the police handed over to the investigation to initiate a criminal case.
