In Murmansk, FSB officers detained an 18-year-old local resident on October 10, who is suspected of setting fire to the entrance to the regional government building. The detainee “confessed to what he had done” and said that he committed the arson “for personal reasons” transfers TASS citing a source in the regional power structures.
According to the investigation, on October 1, the suspect threw a Molotov cocktail into the government building of the Murmansk region. This happened at about 1:30, when officials were still in the institution.
The building’s security guard Igor Korenevsky was injured by the fire. His hands were burned. The fire also damaged the entrance to the second entrance of the building, where the office of the governor, his deputies, large and small meeting rooms are located.
The injured security guard received a letter of thanks from the region’s governor Andrey Chibis.
