Opposition politician Ilya Yashin said that in Perovskiy district # 204 in the east of Moscow, his counterpart, Aleksey Yashin, is nominated for the State Duma elections from the Party of Growth. About this he reported on your Facebook page.
“The candidate is actively campaigning. Bright cubes with catchy slogans stand throughout the district. Yashin stands for fair elections, change of government and freedom for political prisoners. Criticizes corruption, censorship, police arbitrariness. Outraged by Putin’s amendments to the Constitution, of course. Only now the candidate himself does not appear anywhere. You will not find pictures of him. And for some reason he does not even indicate his name. And really – why? Just Yashin. This technology is understandable, ”Yashin writes.
According to Yashin, in this way the “Party of Growth” wants to draw off part of the protest electorate with the expectation that voters will vote for a familiar surname.
“So that voters who sympathize with me, but don’t really follow the news, vote for a familiar surname – and not for a candidate who will eventually be supported by Smart Voting,” the politician explains.
At the same time, the politician himself is not allowed to participate in the upcoming elections. On June 25, Ilya Yashin was not allowed to participate in the elections to the Moscow City Duma because of his support for Navalny. The Election Commission recognized him as “a person involved in extremist activities.” The Moscow City Court approved this decision.
According to Kommersant’s calculations, in July 24 “doubles” with similar or identical surnames were seen on the lists of candidates. So, it turned out that Boris Lazarevich Vishnevsky, a candidate from Yabloko, has two “Double” – Boris Ivanovich Vishnevsky (Viktor Bykov) from the Green Party and Boris Gennadievich Vishnevsky (Alexey Shmelev). Both changed their names before the start of the election campaign, and later also changed their hairstyles and beards.
