Israeli military attacked Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip

The Israel Defense Forces struck at targets of the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, the army press service said on Twitter.

“In response to the constant launching of balloons with incendiary devices from Gaza towards Israel, we attacked the Hamas military complex and a rocket launcher. The installation was located in a residential area, which once again underlines how Hamas endangers Palestinian civilians, ”the statement said.

As reported by the media, there were no reports of possible casualties and damage.

On June 16, Israeli Air Force planes attacked a Hamas training camp in the Gaza Strip.

The army also noted that its actions were a response to the launch of explosive balloons from the sector. About 20 explosions were recorded in uninhabited territory. Israel’s new prime minister, Naftali Bennett, has warned that the government has no intention of tolerating the launch of incendiary balloons and will retaliate in the same way as Hamas’s missile launches.

The current Israeli airstrike on the Gaza Strip is the second since the ceasefire came into force on 21 May. From 10 to 21 May, more than 4,000 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory. As a result of Israel’s retaliatory actions, more than 250 Palestinians were killed and nearly 2,000 were injured. In Israel, 12 people became victims of rocket attacks, about 50 were injured.
