The idea of a “sacred sacrifice” did not appear a year before the poisoning of Navalny on August 20, 2020, but much earlier. In February 2012, Vladimir Putin at a meeting with his proxies stated:
“As for provocations at rallies, I have already said about this: I hope that no one will reach this point, everyone will remain within the framework of the constitutional field and provocations against law enforcement agencies will not achieve their goal. Because the ones you mentioned want some kind of skirmish and they bring it up in every possible way. We are even ready to sacrifice someone and blame the authorities for this. <…>
They have been trying to apply it for ten years, especially those who are sitting abroad. I tell you exactly that. I know that. They even look for the so-called “sacred sacrifice” from among some notable people. They themselves will “crash”, excuse me, and then the authorities will blame ”.
It seems that Naryshkin is trying to say that the Western intelligence services have decided to adopt Putin’s idea with a great delay.
However, the scenario with the “sacred victim” does not explain the strange movements of the employees of the Institute of Forensic Science of the FSB, who three and a half years before the poisoning started accompany Navalny on all his trips around the country. This information published The Insider and Bellingcat, based on telephone billing and flight booking data. Refute discovered The Insider and Bellingcat the facts of the authorities did not try; Putin at a press conference in December 2020 named publication by “legalizing materials of American special services”, thereby indirectly confirming that he does not doubt the authenticity of the information. He only tried to give his own explanation to the facts made public:
“… This patient of the Berlin clinic enjoys the support of the special services, the United States in this case. And if this is correct, then it is interesting, then the special services, of course, should look after him. But this does not mean at all that it is necessary to poison him. Who needs it? “
True, Putin’s version does not explain in any way why Navalny was “looked after” not only by FSB operatives, but by doctors and former employees of the military institute in Shikhany, where they developed chemical warfare agents of the Novichok group. And the confession of the FSB officer, chemical protection specialist Konstantin Kudryavtsev, made in a telephone conversation with Navalny, who introduced himself as Assistant Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, does not at all agree with this version. Kudryavtsev reported “To Patrushev’s assistant” who flew to Omsk twice to remove traces of the poison that had been applied to his underpants from Navalny’s clothes remaining there.
As for the arguments about “the most modern equipment” on which Navalny’s biomaterials were studied in Russia, and the date of the creation of the OPCW technical group, they have long been refuted. The sensitivity of the spectrometer, on which the research was carried out at the German military institute, is 50 times higherthan the spectrometer at the Institute. Sklifosovsky, who obviously means Naryshkin. And in the draft of the OPCW report, it is simply confused date of poisoning with the date of group creation; in an earlier report by the OPCW technical secretariat indicated the correct date is 16 days after the poisoning.
