Reuters photojournalist – Pulitzer Prize laureate Danish Siddiqi died while covering battles in Afghanistan

Reuters journalist Danish Siddiqi died while covering fighting in Kandahar province in southern Afghanistan. informs TOLOnews channel with reference to sources.

According to an Afghan official, he was killed in crossfire with the Taliban during the fighting for the Spin Boldak market. When the shelling began, Siddiqi was talking to the owners of the outlets.

“Danish was an outstanding journalist, a devoted husband and father, a beloved colleague. At this terrible time, we empathize with his family. ” explained colleagues of the journalist, noting that they sent a request to the regional authorities for additional information.
