Former FSB officer and entrepreneur Roman Putin, who is the president’s first cousin, has applied to be nominated to the State Duma. He will run as a self-nominated candidate in the 214th district of St. Petersburg. About it informs “MBH Media” with reference to Putin’s aide Maxim Kamenev.
In July 2020, Roman Putin headed the People Against Corruption party, which was liquidated by the Russian Supreme Court a few months later at the request of the Ministry of Justice. The reason for the liquidation of the party, as Kommersant reported, was non-participation in the elections for seven years.
However, Putin established the People of Action movement, and then at the congress of the movement, it was decided to create the party “Russia without corruption”. Currently, she is not listed on the website of the Ministry of Justice among the registered parties.
