In constituency # 19, provocateurs prevent collectors from collecting signatures for independent candidates to the State Duma. The Insider was told about this by the deputy of the Moscow City Duma Daria Besedina.

“Agitators from New People and Green Alternative are targeting our collectors at several points. They behave inappropriately: they pester collectors and signers, discourage them from putting signatures, and touch people. They behave as unpleasantly as possible in order to scare away the signers, ”Besedina said.

Elections to the State Duma are to be held on a single voting day on September 19, 2021. Formerly Vladimir Putin signed a law that prohibits those involved in the activities of extremist or terrorist organizations from participating in elections. In April, the prosecutor’s office demanded that the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK), the Foundation for the Protection of Citizens’ Rights and Navalny’s headquarters be recognized as extremist organizations.
