“The meaning of the action is to show that we are the most fragile and defenseless road users and this inevitably leads to deaths,” the organizers said.
They also created a petition on Change.org. It says that there are only 11 km of bike paths in the city. “The driving culture, traffic rules and infrastructure are such that it is unsafe for absolutely everyone to be on the streets: for pedestrians, cyclists and even motorists,” the authors of the text said. They also recalled the non-penalty threshold, which actually increases the speed of movement in the city up to 80 km / h.
