“Since yesterday I am not in Belarus. This difficult decision, which I hoped would never have to be made and which I rejected in every possible way, we and the editors eventually made in just a few minutes. It took another two hours to get ready, ”Korovenkova explained to the publication.

According to Korovenkova, she is “torn from completely opposite feelings and endless questions.” She still cannot decide for herself how to evaluate her own decision – as a manifestation of weakness or prudence.

“The feeling of security, when, waking up in the morning, you understand that you can not flinch from any sound outside the front door, is overshadowed by fear for the remaining colleagues and relatives. The confidence that all this hell in Belarus will not last long is replaced by a reminder that many people left before me only for a couple of months, and as a result, they cannot return home for years. And so it goes around endlessly, ”says Korovenko in a closed post on his Facebook page.

Tatyana Korovenkova is one of the journalists who attended the press conference held by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry with the participation of the arrested Roman Protasevich. During the conference, Korovenkova said that she did not believe anything that Protasevich said.

“It’s hard for me to imagine, Roman, what you had to go through in the last weeks. I sincerely sympathize with you. And, I think, many people in Belarus and very many of your colleagues also sincerely sympathize with you. I don’t believe everything you say, ”Korovenkova stressed.

Over the past few days in Belarus, security officials have come to search the offices of a number of regional media outlets and several journalists. On the eve of the Ministry of Information of the country limited access to the site of “Nasha Niva”. The employees of the publication were also searched. The editor-in-chief, Yegor Martinovich, was beaten during his arrest and received a head injury.
