This was told by Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Anastasia Rakova, transmits TASS.
Building of the Children’s Hospital. From February 1, G. N. Speransky will be retrained for the treatment of children with COVID-19, increasing the total bed capacity for minors by almost 1,300 beds.
In the near future, two federal hospitals will begin receiving children with coronavirus in Moscow – the Russian Children’s Clinical Hospital and the National Medical Research Center for Children’s Health, Rakova added.
At the end of December 2021, the Moscow Health Department noted an “unprecedented increase” in the incidence of coronavirus among children. According to official data, in a few weeks the number of sick children increased 14 times – from two to 28 thousand a week.
The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation has included the vaccination of adolescents aged 12 to 17 years against coronavirus in the calendar of preventive vaccinations according to epidemic indications, follows from the order of the department, published on the Internet portal of legal information.
Vaccination of adolescents is carried out voluntarily and “upon a written application from one of the parents” or other legal representative.
On November 24, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation registered a variant of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine for adolescents from 12 to 17 years old. It represents 1/5 of the dose of the drug used for adults.
