Former prosecutor of the Crimea and ex-deputy of the State Duma Natalya Poklonskaya may take the post of deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo. About it informs RIA Novosti, citing a source.
Poklonskaya herself, in a conversation with the agency, said that it was too early to comment on further employment, but she was ready to work in any position.
October 13 last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Natalia Poklonskaya Ambassador to the African state of Cape Verde. The next day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine addressed to the authorities of Cape Verde and “raised the issue of criminal activity” Poklonskaya. Later Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine did to the court an indictment against high-ranking officials of the Crimea, among whom was Poklonskaya.
January 19 at the Russian Foreign Ministry reportedthat Natalia Poklonskaya’s personal circumstances have changed, so her departure to Cape Verde will not take place. Later Poklonskaya herself statedthat the police received reports of an alleged assassination attempt on her. The ex-prosecutor of Crimea clarified that the messages were not related to Ukraine, and the applicant was not a citizen of a neighboring country.
Since 2014, Natalya Poklonskaya has been working as a Crimean prosecutor for two years. In 2016, she left the post in connection with her election to the State Duma. Poklonskaya was deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, then became deputy chairman of the committee on international affairs.
In May 2021, she refused to participate in the United Russia primaries, explaining this by switching to a new job.
