In Almaty, dozens of protesters were killed during the storming of a police building. This was stated in the department itself, transfers RIA Novosti.

The identities of those killed are being established.

TASS with reference to the police also informsthat “dozens of attackers were liquidated” on the night of January 6, when they tried to storm the administrative buildings.

On the night of January 6, automatic fires were heard in Almaty for several hours in a row. Residents of the Almaty region in social networks and messengers talked about shootings with automatic weapons. Sirens and evacuation announcements sounded.

It was also reported that the security forces surrounded the Republic Square along the perimeter. The military took about 200 protesters into the ring. Later the cordon was removed.

For the fifth day in Kazakhstan, protests caused by a sharp rise in prices for liquefied gas have not abated. The rallies began on January 2 in Zhanaozen, later the residents of the city were supported in many other settlements. By the evening of January 4, protests gripped most of the country. On January 5, protests intensified, security officials opened fire on the protesters, there are victims. CSTO Collective Security Council announcedthat “peacekeeping forces” will be introduced to Kazakhstan.
