The State Duma voted to remove immunity from the Communist Party deputy Valery Rashkin. About it informs Interfax.
As the agency notes, the Prosecutor General’s submission included two requests for consent to the deprivation of immunity.
In one – about bringing Rashkin to administrative responsibility under the article on refusal of a medical examination, which is equivalent to drunk driving and entails a fine of 30 thousand rubles and deprivation of rights for up to two years. The second request refers to the prosecution of him for illegal hunting committed using his official position. For this, a fine of up to 1 million rubles or imprisonment for a term of three to five years is provided.
Earlier, the representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office Sergei Bochkarev said that the department intends to seek the election of a preventive measure against Rashkin in the form of a ban on certain actions. According to him, this is due to the fact that Rashkin “knew the witnesses well and has the ability to influence them.”
We will remind, on the night of October 29 in the Lysogorsky district of the Saratov region, law enforcement officers found a carwith a moose carcass in the trunk and detained several people, including Rashkin. According to the regional hunting committee, the men said that they had found the animal already killed, and they decided to take it for themselves. The deputy was offered to undergo a medical examination for the presence of alcoholic intoxication, which he refused.
Later, not far from the place of cutting in a forest belt, two cases of rifles were found. One of them contained a hunting rifle with a night vision scope, and the other contained a tripod and cartridges. Also in one of the cases were found a weapon and a hunting ticket in the name of Valery Rashkin. Why a complete set of hunting equipment with documents was in the forest belt, and not in the deputy’s car, is not reported.
