Secondly, on the Pulitzer Prize website published list of 10 articles в The New York Times and 10 articles in The Washington Post, for which the prize was awarded, and none of them mentions the communication channel with Alfa-Bank. Online journalist Colby Hall Mediaite wrote:
“Trump and his supporters in the media have tried to portray reports of Russian intervention as a hoax, witch hunt and fake news. However, the vast amount of material produced on this story by both editions has been largely corroborated by Special Adviser Robert Mueller, as well as a report by the Senate Intelligence Committee, chaired by Senator Richard Burr. Both Mueller and Burr are registered Republicans. “

The accusation against Igor Danchenko – one of the sources of Steele’s dossier – again connected not with the content of his messages, but with attempts to misinform the FBI about the sources of the data he received.
But what is more important is that The New York Times and The Washington Post reacted to the Steele dossier in the same way as Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller, who led the investigation of Trump’s Russian ties, that is, very skeptical. So, an article about this in The New York Times of January 11, 2017 titled “How a sensational unverified dossier became a crisis for Donald Trump,” and in December 2017, the same newspaper in the article “The Trump Dossier: What We Know And Who Paid For It” reportedthat Fusion GPS, for which Steele worked, was hired by Hillary Clinton’s campaign headquarters.
Fragments of two articles from 2017 and 2019 removed from the site The Washington Post, concerned the identity of one of the sources of Steele’s dossier, identified as “source D”. According to the assumption of journalists, this was businessman from Belarus Sergei Millian. Subsequently, this assumption was not confirmed, and the newspaper decided to remove the fragments damaging the reputation of Millian, informing about this in a separate publication.
In the list of 20 articles for which two newspapers were awarded the Pulitzer Prize, these two articles do not appear, as well as all the others that deal with the Steele dossier.
