The level of pollutants in the air in Moscow has almost doubled over the past day. About it informs RIA Novosti with reference to a representative of emergency services.
“As of 06.00 on Wednesday, in the Novokosino area, an excess of the MPC of harmful substances in the air by 1.82 times was recorded,” said the interlocutor of the agency.
According to him, during the last day, 55 complaints about smoke and the smell of burning in the air were received from residents of Moscow and the Moscow region to a single emergency telephone number, 136 complaints in just two days.
Earlier it was reported that heavy fog in the capital caused numerous complaints about smoke and the smell of burning in the air of the Moscow region.
Over the previous day, almost 30 thermal points were registered in the Moscow region – mainly household waste, felling residues in forests, and dry grass were burning. This was reflected in the environmental situation in Moscow, where in the Lyublino area an excess of the maximum permissible concentration of carbon oxides in the air was recorded.
