The Blagoveshchensk city court sentenced the former inspector of Rostransnadzor, who was found guilty of accepting a bribe. He was sentenced to six years in prison in a general regime colony, informs Prosecutor’s Office of the Amur Region. The convict will also pay a fine of 600 thousand rubles.
According to the investigation, from mid-December 2018 to June 2019, the state inspector received a bribe from an entrepreneur engaged in road transport in the form of a fuel card with 60 thousand rubles credited to the account. In exchange for a gift, he was supposed to ensure the unhindered crossing of cars belonging to the company through a stationary weight and dimensional control post located on the federal highway “Entrance to the city of Blagoveshchensk”.
The suspect was detained by the FSB. He was charged with Part 3 of Art. 290 (receiving by an official personally a bribe in the form of other property, in a significant amount, for illegal inaction), Part 1 of Art. 285 (use by an official of his official powers against the interests of the service) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
In February, the Annunciation Court sentenced to 9 years in a strict regime colony of the former senior state customs inspector of the Blagoveshchensk customs office Alexei Nochevny. He was found guilty of accepting a bribe from an entrepreneur in the amount of 14 thousand rubles. When passing the verdict, the court took into account as mitigating circumstances the existence of a dependent child of the former official, as well as the state of health of Alexei Nochevny.
