The Oktyabrsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk fined Andrei Agafonov, adviser to the vice-governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, for five thousand rubles in the case of public insult via the Internet (part 2 of article 5.61 of the Administrative Code), informs NGS24. This is the minimum monetary punishment under the insult article, which involves a fine of up to 50 thousand rubles for officials.
Prosecutor’s office started checking against Agafonov in August. Then the official criticized the residents of Krasnoyarsk by reading negative comments on the publication of the figure skater Alexei Yagudin on Instagram. The athlete said that he did not feel the smell of burning in the city, despite the fact that the “black sky” regime was introduced in Krasnoyarsk and many residents complained of smoke.
Agafonov, reacting to the comments of residents, called them “a pile of shit” and “a whiny rabble.” “How did people get into this, this aching pile of shit? And how they live constantly with this feeling of eternal infringement. Separate compliments to the fighters of the invisible front, who brought up a whole generation of hysterics “in the black sky mode.” These are not residents of Siberia, they are not Russians at all, they are some kind of whiny rabble, “the official wrote.
Later, Agafonov’s post disappeared from the social network. The official himself claimed that the post was deleted by Facebook administrators due to complaints from a large number of users.
Yagudin eventually admitted that he had “done something stupid by not analyzing the scale of the trouble for the townspeople.” However, Agafonov did not give up his words. “I did not offend Krasnoyarsk residents, and if some commentators on Yagudin’s Instagram took my words personally, they did the right thing,” said the adviser to the vice-governor. Now he intends to appeal the judgment on the fine.
In the summer in Krasnoyarsk, the regime of unfavorable meteorological conditions “black sky” was introduced. It means that the process of dispersion of harmful impurities becomes more difficult, due to which there is an accumulation of pollutants in the air, including exhaust gases from cars and emissions from industrial enterprises.
In addition, Siberia was shrouded in smoke from forest fires in the summer. Dozens of flights were delayed at the Krasnoyarsk airport due to smog. Rospotrebnadzor recommended that residents go outside less often.
