The Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court returned the lawyer’s appeal against the court decision to recognize the “Male State” as an extremist organization and ban its activities on the territory of the Russian Federation. About it informs Interfax.

“The complaint was returned as inadequate,” says the case card posted on the website of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court.

October 18 this year Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court satisfied the claim of the prosecutor’s office for the recognition of the “Men’s State” community as an extremist organization. During the court session, the prosecutor insisted that the organization was unregistered and was engaged in persecuting people on the basis of ethnicity in social networks.

A lawsuit demanding to recognize the “Male State” as an extremist organization and to prohibit its activities was filed by the acting prosecutor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Andrey Galchenko. The defendants are the founder of the “Male State” Vladislav Pozdnyakov, as well as Igor Nosov and Dmitry Gubanov. The interested parties were the Nizhny Novgorod Department of the Ministry of Justice and Roskomnadzor for the Volga Federal District.

Pozdnyakov himself wrote in his Telegram channel that “there will soon be a trial to recognize the Male State as an extremist community.” According to him, he has not been in charge of this brand “for a year already” and suggested that the current head of the organization find a lawyer.

After the recognition of the “Male State” by the extremist community, a discussion began about the legality of such decisions in modern Russia. Extremism expert Alexander Verkhovsky analyzed, can the ban of MG be considered a persecution for ideas, and said that such communities are persecuted in the most democratic and legal states.
