The chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to check the statements of the artist Morgenstern about the senselessness of celebrating Victory Day. About it reported in the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

“In connection with the appeal to the Investigative Committee of Russia representatives of the veteran organization with a request to check the statements of the music performer Alisher Morgenstern about Victory Day, the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Main Investigation Department for Moscow A. A. Strizhov to organize an inspection,” the Investigative Committee said.

Earlier, Morgenstern, in an interview with Ksenia Sobchak, said that he did not understand why it was necessary to celebrate Victory Day.

“I don’t understand this celebration of victory, which took place 76 years ago. From year to year, millions are spent on this, they celebrate something, everyone is trying to do something – I don’t know, maybe these are some kind of clamps? Probably, there is simply nothing to be proud of. I don’t know to remember every year for almost a century that you won back then, ”he said.
