The authorities of the self-proclaimed republic of Kosovo have declared two Russian diplomats from the Pristina branch of the embassy in Serbia persona non grata. About this on Facebook wrote President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani.
According to her, they decided to expel the Russians “because of their harmful activities,” which contributed to the violation of the country’s constitutional order and endangers its national security.
“The structures of the Republic of Kosovo are resolute in the fight against the harmful influence of Russia and its satellites in the region, which are working to destroy our achievements and the achievements of the US, NATO and the EU,” added Osmani.
The names and positions of the diplomats are currently unknown. The Russian authorities did not comment on this situation.
In early October, the NATO leadership made a decision to cut the Russian mission in the alliance by half – from 20 to 10 people. “We have strengthened containment and defense in response to Russia’s aggressive actions, and at the same time remain open to constructive dialogue,” he stressed to represent NATO, commenting on this decision.
