In Moscow, law enforcement agencies opened a criminal case for insulting the feelings of believers against blogger Ruslan Bobiev, who came from Tajikistan, and his girlfriend Anastasia Chistova. Previously, they arranged a photo session against the backdrop of St. Basil’s Cathedral. The published photographs, in which Chistova was wearing a police jacket, were considered provocative by the authorities.
The criminal case will be considered on October 28 by the magistrate of the court district of the Tverskoy district of Moscow, informs RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the court.
“The court hearing in the criminal case against Murodjonzoda (the real name of the blogger) Ruslani Talabdzhon and Chistova Anastasia Alexandrovna is scheduled for October 28 at 10:00 am in the general procedure of the trial,” said a spokesman for the court.
Sanction under Part 1 of Art. 148 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (insulting the feelings of believers) implies imprisonment for one year. Bobiev’s criminal case is one of the first in Moscow.
Earlier, a photo circulated on social networks in which Bobiev stands in front of the temple, and a girl in police uniform is squatting in front of him.
After the arrest, Bobiev apologized for his act and promised “never to do that again.” He also said that he was shooting pranks. According to the blogger, he has 100 thousand subscribers on the social network, but now his page has been blocked.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that “the actions of young people were public, demonstrative, expressed clear disrespect for society and contained signs of insulting the feelings of believers.”
First, the couple was brought to administrative responsibility: the court found the girl guilty under the article “Failure to comply with the legal requirement of a police officer,” and the blogger was charged with violation of the rules of entry or the regime of stay in the Russian Federation by foreigners. Both were sentenced to 10 days of arrest, and Bobiev was also fined 5 thousand rubles from expulsion From Russia.
