The Tsentralny District Court of Minsk declared the humorous Telegram channel Tea with Raspberry Varennem extremist. About it reported press service of the State Administration for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus.
The public will be included in the register of extremist materials, and the dissemination of its information will face administrative liability (Article 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Belarus).
Today at channel “Tea with raspberry varennem” has more than 140 thousand subscribers. It publishes, among other things, satirical pictures making fun of Alexander Lukashenko. The authors of the public also covered the protests that began in August last year after the presidential elections.
In mid-August, the authorities also recognized extremist portal Zerkalo.io – this is a new project of the former Tut.by team, which the journalists launched after being blocked. Portal recognized as extremist in Belarus Tribe, who, in particular, covered the case of Kristina Timanovskaya, the website of the TV channel Belsat and other opposition publications.
