Aeroflot launches direct regular flights from Moscow to Egyptian resorts. Flights to Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh will operate daily from October 1, it says on the company’s website.

Air traffic with the resorts of Egypt was resumed on August 9. Rosaviatsia allowed Rossiya Airlines (part of the Aeroflot group) to operate five flights a week, which caused discontent among other market participants, since Rossiya works with only one operator. transfers Interfax.

On August 6, the Federal Air Transport Agency granted access to flights to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh to 8 more Russian airlines, noting that they will be able to launch these flights only with the permission of the headquarters for the fight against coronavirus. Then it was about Aeroflot, Pobeda, S7, Ural Airlines, Smartavia, Nordwind and AZUR air.

Air traffic between Russia and Egypt was completely interrupted in November 2015 after a plane of the Russian company “Kogalymavia” crashed in Sinai on its way from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg. On board there were 217 passengers and seven crew members, all of whom were killed.
