The court in Yaroslavl recognized as lawful the forced hospitalization in a psychiatric hospital of a woman who had been beaten by orderlies in the elevator of a residential building the day before. About it reported Olga Kozlova, press secretary of the Yaroslavl Regional Court.
“The court satisfied the administrative claims of the Yaroslavl Regional Clinical Psychiatric Hospital for involuntary hospitalization of a resident of Yaroslavl,” she said.
The day before, a video appeared on social networks with a beating of a resident of Yaroslavl by orderlies during hospitalization. The footage shows how the staff of the local psychiatric hospital team forcibly drag the woman with her hands tied into the elevator, and then hit her in the side and on the head.
After that, the investigating authorities opened two criminal cases – under articles on intentional infliction of slight harm to health and on illegal hospitalization in a medical organization providing psychiatric care.
The hospital attendants who beat the woman were fired.
