Georgian socio-political publication Ambebi published a fake interview with Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, which he allegedly gave from the colony.

Russian journalist Elena Vavina is listed as the author of the material. On his Facebook page Vavina wrotethat “I have never done an interview with Navalny.”

In the Ambebi publication, Navalny was credited with several criticisms that were addressed to his associates. So, in particular, the article claims that he said that “the goal of the Russian government is to protect its citizens, and it is doing it successfully,” and also that “for some of the FBK members, money and a comfortable life turned out to be more important than struggle.”
