In Kansk, a court released from arrest teenagers accused of undergoing training for terrorist activities due to the fact that they blew up the FSB building in the game Minecraft. About it informs Pavel Chikov.
The Eastern District Military Court of Khabarovsk, at an exit session, changed the measure of restraint for two teenagers, Denis Mikhailenko and Bogdan Andreev, from detention and house arrest, respectively, to a ban on certain actions.
The court allowed Andreev to use the Internet and go to school so that he could finish 9th grade. Mikhailenko, the court completely banned the use of the Internet.
Earlier, the court released another teenager in this case, Nikita Uvarov, from the pre-trial detention center. Thus, all three young men are now at large.
Recall that schoolchildren from the city of Kansk in the Krasnoyarsk Territory Nikita Uvarov, Denis Mikhailenko and Bogdan Andreev were detained by FSB officers in the summer of 2020 because they pasted stickers criticizing the state and in support of political prisoners on the building of the local FSB. During interrogations, operatives and investigators found correspondence in their phones, in which they discussed the possibility of blowing up a structure built in the game Minecraft, similar to the FSB building. This and the discussion of how to make a homemade firecracker became the starting point for a charge under the terrorism article.
The schoolchildren were charged under Art. 205.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities.” Later, part 4 of Article 205 “Organization of a terrorist community and participation in it” was added to the charges, but this charge was dropped. If the teenagers were adults, they would face punishment on these charges from 15 years to life imprisonment.
